Cairo Sleep Center Consultants and Specialists
Dr. Shahira Loza
Shahira Loza, M.D., is the Founder and Director of the Cairo Sleep Center. She is a graduate of El Kasr el Aini Medical School, Cairo University, with postgraduate studies in Psychiatry and Neurology.
Not only is she an Alumna of the Stanford School of Sleep Medicine and the International Center of the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Loza was certified in Sleep Medicine in France as a Montpellier Candidate with a Diplôme Interuniversitaire in Sleep and Wakefulness.
Dr. Alia Adel
Dr. Alia is consultant of sleep medicine and neuropsychiatry. She is a graduate of Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. She obtained a Master Degree in Neuropsychiatry and Doctorate Degree in Psychiatry from Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
She holds the European Board of Clinical Sleep Medicine awarded by the European Sleep Research Society. Dr. Alia is an associate professor of psychiatry at Cairo University and manages the sleep medicine laboratory at Cairo University Hospitals.
Dr. Ahmed Gharib
Dr. Ahmed is consultant of pulmonary medicine and respiratory sleep disorders. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University in Cairo, where he later completed both his masters and doctorate degrees in Pulmonology.
Dr. Gharib received a scholarship to study Respiratory Disturbances during Sleep in Palermo, Italy. In 2012, he moved to France where he worked for one year at the Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal in Créteil. Dr. Gharib is a member of the European Sleep Research Society.
Dr. Hatem Ibrahim Soliman
Dr. Hatem is a graduate of Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
He holds the European Board of Clinical Sleep Medicine awarded by the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS). Dr. Hatem is a trainee psychiatrist at the Egyptian fellowship and Arab board of psychiatry at Okasha institute of psychiatry and Abbaseya Mental health hospital .
Dr. Nardene Saad Rizk
Dr Nardene Saad obtained her bachelor’s degree of Medicine and Surgery from Alexandria University in 2017 and immediately started her psychiatric training as a registrar at The Behman Hospital in 2019. She obtained her Diploma of Psychiatry and Neurology from Ain Shams University in 2022.
Currently, based as an assistant specialist of Learning Disability department at the Behman Hospital.
Dr. Saad is a member of European Sleep Research Society since 2021 and actively participated in the collaboration between CCSD and The Behman Hospital in setting up a Sleep Medicine clinic and affiliated laboratory at The Behman hospital Under supervision of Dr. Shahira Loza.

Nermine Hany
Nermine has extensive experience in clinical psychology and received multiple workshops in the fields of sleep disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, addiction therapy and IQ and personality tests.

Administrative and Technical Staff
Fayza Khalil
Fayza Fayek Khalil has been the Patient Care Coordinator and Facilitator at Cairo Sleep Center since 2001. Since graduating from Cairo University, she has continually developed her language, computer and management skills through various courses and certifications.
It is Fayza who will take you through all the steps, appointments and follow-ups, from your first contact with Cairo Sleep Center until you have completed your treatment and are sleeping soundly.
Sameh Ghabbour
As the chief PSG/EEG Technician, Sameh Ghabbour’s responsibilities include preparing, applying, recording and scoring PSG Studies which require him, among other things, to communicate with the patients during their all night Sleep Studies. He has been with the CairoSleep family since 2001 and has documented more than 2,500 cases of PSG, CPAP and MSLT studies.
Sameh’s work with the Behman Hospital has allowed him to document more than 1,500 cases of EEG Recordings. He is a member of the Egyptian Society of Sleep Medicine, author of the book Setting up a Patient for PSG, and he completed his certification from The Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine and Technology.
George Morgan
Eng. George Farouk Morgan has been with the Cairo Sleep Center family since 2005. As the Technical Support Engineer, he is responsible for the technical support and maintenance of all of Cairo Sleep Center’s state-of-the-art medical devices.
George has remained up to date on the medical advances in medical devices and has attended numerous trainings in several countries including Germany, UK, Belgium, Switzerland and China.
